Catching up after the Cruise

I started this blog addition a couple of weeks ago and here a month after our cruise I have yet to post a single word. I have been so busy! Things are starting to wind down now but I am sure they will be amped right back up with the holidays right around the corner!!

The night before our cruise Jeremy decided to make me grill steaks which is usually his job. I started them and made a couple of trips out on the deck with all three pups in tow to check on them. At the time they should have been done I asked him to come check them and with in two steps he had stepped on a nail and put it all the way in his foot!!! Not just any nail but a rusty corroded gross roofing nail. How he found it with in two steps when my two feet and the pups 12 paws never did I will never figure out. I made him pull it out ( I have no stomach for things like that) and I cleaned it up for him, put the food away and headed out to the ER for a tetanus shot. Needless to say this took up the bulk of the night that I should have used for packing and preparing!!

On the upside when they saw him on crutches they brought us a wheelchair and we were given priority boarding!! Yay!!

Despite the injury to his foot and him being on crutches the first two days we had an amazing time!! We visited Nassau and Little Stirrup Cay. Very beautiful places!!

I am so ready to plan our next adventure!!

Picosure Laser Tattoo Removal Review!!!

I have been stuck with a tattoo that I hate for a very long time now. I had looked into removal before but the cost was way too much. I had looked into covering it up but never fell in love with anything that would cover this hideous thing up.

I finally found out about Picosure!! This laser is amazing!

Why I love it:

NO Scarring, Fewer treatments than previous lasers by as much a 50%, less cost, and less discomfort!
But does it work?? I have had one treatment and these are my results: WARNING THE SECOND TWO PICS ARE KIND OF GROSS!!!!

Pic one: my very gross tattoo before the treatment. Yea what was I thinking??? Pic two: directly after the treatment. Lots of frost and you can see the blisters forming. this is actually a good thing haha

Pic 3: a gross mess. But it wasn't hurting. It actually looks worse because of the goop you have to keep on it.  Pic 4..Almost all the way healed and wow at the amount of color that is gone from it. Granted it isn't a clear pic because I had to take it m…

Things I am loving....Bem (pronounced Beam)

I am not easily impressed when it comes to speakers for my phone. I have had a few and not any of them have delivered what I was looking for.
This Christmas I received the Bem (pronounced Beam) Bluetooth mobile speaker at our company party. I took it home and put it to the side for a few days. Never really giving it much thought. A few days later while putting some stuff away I ran across it again and decided to charge it up and give it a try.
Let me just say I was blown away! The sound that comes out of that little black cube is sensational! I was very impressed. While obviously it won't be mistaken for your surround sound it also will never be confused for one of those sketchy little portable speakers either!
I use my Bem when I am cleaning house because I can just pick up the little box and move it from room to room, but I can't wait for this summer when I can use it at the beach! No more leaving my car doors open at the beach I can park on or carrying a radio when I have t…

How to keep your eye safe from Makeup

Your eyes are precious!! Here are some tips for avoiding infection and abrasions from your makeup!

1. Keep it to yourself! Your mom always said you should share but in this case it is an absolute no no!! Sharing eye makeup means sharing bacteria and disease. No matter who it is!!

2. Keep it outside the line! Keeping your liner to the outside of the lash line prevents abrasions to the lids and eye. Applying to the waterline increases the chance that particles will migrate into the tear film over the cornea . This increases your chance of infection and irritation.

3. Keep sharp!
Keep your liner sharp so that the line is more precise. This will help lessen the chance to scratches to your eyes. Also make sure there are no wooden splinters left behind when you sharpen and that it sharpened evenly on all sides.

4. Keep it Fresh! Replacing all eye makeup every 3-4 months avoids bacterial infection. Also avoid products that have expired. A good rule of thumb with mascara is whe…
